Lalitha Lajmi (1932) Born in Kolkata, Lalitha Lajmi is today is one of India's foremost women Modern artist. Being a self taught artist, she started her career in painting by 1961 and has subsequently participated numerous shows in India and abroad. She made guest appeareance in the Bollywood Film 'Taare Zameen Par'. She passed away in 2023.
